The next Lismullin Institute Leadership Forum will take place in Lismullin on Wednesday 19 November 2008.

Dr Albert Ribera of IESE business school will lead a case study on A Trader Gone Mad?  The mess at Société Générale. This case focuses on Jerome Kerviel, a junior trader at the bank, who was blamed for the scandal which led to SocGen disclosing losses of €4.9 billion in January 2008.

This paper will examine the 84-year latercus, re-discovered in a manuscript in the Biblioteca Antoniana in Padua by Dr. Dáibhí Ó Cróinin in 1985, and demonstrate the technique that it employed to compute the date of both Easter Sunday and the Initium, that is the start of fasting on Ash Wednesday.

ImageLiving well to the end: care of the dying

Nurses attending a conference in Lismullin Conference Centre in Navan on Saturday 27th September 2008 heard that, while the majority of people would prefer to die at home and in their sleep, the reality is that two out of three people die in hospitals or other institutions.  The day long conference entitled was attended by 80 nurses from Meath and surrounding counties.
